Habitat - Paradise or Prison?

Dear Room 14,

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

This term we are learning about the Rocky Shore for our Rich Task, including tidal waves, sea creatures, habitat, etc. We are also going to Cornwallis Park for our Rich Task trip later this term. Yeah!

I would like to know what you know about the ocean, coast and everything in it! Leave your comment here to share your thoughts and ideas with others out there! I am looking forward to seeing you soon!

Here are some of your awesome homework! Which one do you like the most and why?

Great homework projects! It is really hard to decide which one I like the best. They are all really good! I think I will have to choose the one of the sculpture with the rock pool filled with lots of different creatures and the penguins on the shore. I chose that one because it is so interesting! There's a lot going on in that little sculpture and many different creatures that are all interdependent. Which ones are prey and which ones are predators? Which ones are consumers? Are any of them producers?
Great job room 14!!!
I'll see you all soon!

Tonight I made a 3D spider web with a spider. I used cotton wool and plasticine to make the spider and white cotton and hot glue to make the web. It is in a box with some leaves and branches

to room 14 I love the new art that Lily has put on the blog. I liked the lego art that Henry made and I liked Ben's rocky shore too.

Nice questions Alice - do you where to find the answers? I wonder who will be the first one to answer these questions. :)

I made a rocky shore puzzle and my favourite one of all the rocky shores is my one.

Eels do have teeth Lily, but I don't know how many. I tried to find out but it did not say. I think they have a lot of teeth. I would not want to be bitten by one.

Cool Jessica! Thank you for finding out the answers for Alice and us! We have had a quick look online and found that the eels have many and messy teeth! I think they should find themselves a good dentist!

A crab has six legs plus 2 big claws. I like to catch paddler crabs when I go to the beach. You always find lots under rocks.
