Welcome Back!

Dear Room 14,

Welcome back to school! I hope you all had a lovelt holiday!

This Term we are learning about plants, ecosystem, habitat and so much more. We are going to investigate different native plants and animals in New Zealand. For example, the Rata tree or the Kowhai Tree.
Did you enjoy the trip to Auckland Botanic Garden? I enjoyed learning about the Life Cycle, loved tasting the berries, amazed by all the flowers and trees in the garden!
If you have any ideas and thoughts for our Rich Task, please post your opinions here. Make sure you use appropriate language and respect everyone who uses this blog.
Talk to you soon!
Lily

Kowhai

kowhai is often found along riverbanks or in open forests.
The maori people used kowhai for sprains, infections, bruises, colds and ringworm.
